JAimi patterson
Jaimi's first yoga teacher training was a short intensive at Core Power Yoga in Boulder, Colorado. She connected to the physicality right away. Teaching movement came naturally — it was something she knew in her bones. Throughout her twenties, she danced on stages, taught yoga, and trained to become an Alexander Technique teacher. She even taught in the dance department at a major university, where she was honored as “the person on campus who most impacted first-year students.”
At some point her yoga practice began to deepen and she sensed the pull of something more. So she moved west. It was in sunny California that she found her footing. She began to refine her voice, weaving somatics, presence, and breath into everything she offered. Ten years of integration and adventure. In that time her yoga teaching was thriving. Her classes were full, she was leading sold out retreats in far off places, and working privately with people who win music awards. A Korean princess once called her a national treasure.
But the pandemic changed everything. She never thought of herself as an online yoga teacher, but then that changed too — especially after becoming a Mama.
Currently, Jaimi is giving the Bay Area another try. Her classes are all levels, all the time.
